For the program to run smoothly there are the following requirements:

• Microsoft® Microsoft® Outlook®2003, Microsoft® Outlook® 2007 or Microsoft Outlook® 2010 (32-Bit/64-Bit)
• Microsoft® Windows® XP with Service Pack 3 (32-Bit), Microsoft® Windows Vista® (32-Bit/64-Bit) with Service Pack 1 or Microsoft® Windows® 7 (32-Bit/64-Bit)
• Microsoft® .NET Framework 3.5 with Service Pack 1
• At least two computers connected to each other via a network (LAN, WLAN, VPN), or at least two computers with an active Internet connection (only with Business version)

Business version

The business version supports all functions of the standard version as well as Internet synchronisation and a filter function. Additional requirements for Internet synchronisation are the installation of the following components:

• Peer Name Resolution Protocol (PNRP)
• IPv6 or a suitable tunnel protocol such as Teredo

These components are installed by default in Windows Vista® or newer. In Windows® XP they are being configured during the installation of SimpleSYN.

An active Internet connection is needed for Internet synchronisation.

Unicode-support

Microsoft® Outlook® 2003 or newer is needed for support of Unicode PST files.
