About SimpleSYN.NET
SimpleSYN.NET is an effective Outlook synchronization that keeps two installations of Outlook on two different PCs (for example on a home computer and a firm laptop) in a simple and uncomplicated way synchrone. An exchange server is in this case not neccessary; all your e-mails, notes, appointments and contacts are immediatly available in both Outlook applications. The Outlook synchronization is effected in "real time". No further manual intervention by the user is neccessary after the configuration.System requirements

Installation
SimpleSYN.NET must be installed on both computers you wish to synchronize.After unpacking the ZIP file start the installation routine with a double click on setup.exe. The installation of SimpleSYN.NET runs automatically. You just have to agree to the licence regulations and, during the installation, put in the name of the computer you wish to synchronize (meaning the second computer). This setting can also be done at any time after the installation (look under "Configuration"). For the installation of SimpleSYN.NET you must be in charge of administrator- and power user rights. After the installation SimpleSYN.NET is immediatly available from the next start of Outlook.
Uninstallation
To uninstall SimpleSYN.NET please go to the system control and choose "Software".Your currently installed programs will be listed up. Look for the entry "SimpleSYN.NET" and press the button "Remove". Beforehand, please close and end Outlook.Storage space
SimpleSYN.NET needs around 1 MB storage space on your hard disc, the NET. Framework needs additional storage space.Configuration
SimpleSYN.NET must get configurated after the installation . To do that please start Outlook and open under Extras > options the "SimpleSYN.NET"(see illustration).
If you have not put in the name of the computer you wish to synchronize with during the installation, please enter the name now in the field "Computer name" (see illustration).
The computer name you have to insert is the NetBIOS name of the pc you want to synchronize with. This name cannot be chosen by you during the SimpleSYN.NET installation or in the options dialog. You will find the computer name in the control panel under the system tab on the panel "Computer name". This name must be inserted correctly on both computers. Otherwise SimpleSYN.NET will not be able to find your PCs in your network.
Under the button "Advanced" you can supplementary do several settings though these settings should first remain unchanged in the basic configuration.
Operating instructions: Automatic synchronization
Select under "Folders to monitor" the Outlook folder you wish to monitor automatically.Right click on one folder to get more configuration possibilities. Here you can enter in details which sort of synchronization you desire (see illustration).
Synchronize new items:
When activated, each newly created item in this folder gets synchronized.
Synchronize changed items:
When activated, each changed item in this folder gets synchronized.
Synchronize deleted items:
If items are removed or deleted from this folder, then these items are also removed from the destination server.
Choose destination folder:
In the basic setting the items get synchronized into a destination folder with the same name as in the original folder. But you can also choose the destination folder manually, for example if you wish to use a special folder for synchronized items. To do that, please go to "Choose destination folder". In the now appearing window (see illustration) you can choose any folder you wish to synchronize.
Any further synchronization will go to this folder as long as you do not choose another destination folder or want to synchronize a folder manually. If you wish to synchronize variant Outlook data files, or, for example, want to synchronize an exchange folder with an Outlook data file you must explicitely choose a destination folder. For doing this Outlook must run on both PCs and the computername must be written in (see above). In case you have entered the computer name just now, please click once on "Apply". When you have chosen the folders that you wish to synchronize automatically, then please click on "Apply" or "OK". Now the newly chosen folders are immediatly lined up in the synchronization waiting queue (see illustration). This procedure might take a little bit longer, depending on the number/amount of items in each folder. Afterwards the real synchronization is getting started in the background. From our experience the first synchronization takes a little bit longer (see illustration).
Operation instructions: manual synchronization
After the configuration SimpleSYN.NET does not need any further operation by the user. The synchronization runs completely automatically. Moreover SimpleSYN.NET monitors the Outlook folders that you have configurated. If you receive a new e-mail for example, SimpleSYN.NET tries immediatly to synchronize it. In case the second PC is not available at that time the mail gets synchronized as soon as both computers in the network are available.Please note that SimpleSYN.NET can recognize deleted items only after a complete first synchronization. The first synchronization might take a little bit longer, depending on the amount of items in the folder. You can also synchronize manually single mails, appointments, contacts or folders (see illustration). For this a SimpleSYN.NET symbol menu will be installed. Please tic /mark the items and choose from the Outlook menu the button "Synchronize items" or "Synchronize folders".
In this case the set destination folders are being used.Should the chosen folder not be monitored it is tried to synchronize the items in a destination folder that bears the same name as the original folder. To synchronize items or folders into a specific destination folder, please choose "Synchronize to...".
Registration
If you are convinced of SimpleSYN.NET and wish to continue using it after the testing period of 15 days you have to register SimpleSYN.NET. A licence costs 29,- Euro (16% v.a.t. included) and entitles you to install SimpleSYN.NET on two different computers. After the registration you receive your personal registration key via E-Mail. Please save your registration file on your disc. In the popup window please click on the link "Activate SimpleSYN.NET now" and locate your registration file on your disc.
