In this page you can change the settings of the configuration wizard and assimilate SimpleSYN to your personal needs. To do this please click on the menu point
Optionen.

1. Choose the profile
In the standard setting SimpleSYN is using your Outlook standard profile. Alternatively you may use as well another Outlook profile for the synchronization. To do so please click on the entry “Use the following profile” and select the particular Outlook profile.
Hint: If you neither choose “Use the standard profile” nor “Use the following profile” then you can choose the used profile during the start of SimpleSYN. Please note that the configuration depends on the presently used profile.
2. Start:
Here you lay down whether you wish to start SimpleSYN automatically with Windows.
3. Client/Server:
Here you may announce whether the PC should be configured as server or as client.
Hint: A PC must get configured as main computer (server). The server PC is the central gathering point for SimpleSYN and leads the elements that are supposed to be synchronized to all other client PCs.
4. Server computer name:
If you have configured your PC as client, please enter in the following field “Server Computer Name” the computer name of your main computer (server).
Advanced options:
Click on the link “Advanced Options” to call up further options.
Hint: The advanced options are each based on the chosen role of SimpleSYN, e. g. Client or server. Changes in the Client / server selection are activated only after the storage. Please click on the button “Save” to store your changes.

1. General setting:
- Name of equipment:
Here SimpleSYN fills in automatically the name of the computer.
- Add new contact folders to the address book:
Fits in automatically a new folder for contacts into the address book.
- Delete elements entirely:
Elements that were deleted by SimpleSYN are not deleted entirely in the presetting. Instead SimpleSYN moves these elements to the folder “SimpleSYN” below the folder “Deleted Objects” of the respective Outlook data file. If this setup is activated no further elements are moved to the folder “Deleted Objects > SimpleSYN” when changes were made. Instead they will immediately be deleted entirely.
- Store synchronization conflicts: :
If this option is activated SimpleSYN stores in the folder “SimpleSYN” below the folder “Deleted Objects” of the respective Outlook data file a copy of the elements that caused a conflict.
- Move deleted items to – use standard folder:
Here you may announce whether deleted items are meant to be moved to the standard folder “SimpleSYN” below the folder “Deleted Objects” of the respective Outlook data file, or whether you wish to select manually a folder for the deleted objects.
2. Conflict solutions:
State here in which way you wish that SimpleSYN will solve synchronization conflicts.
- Solve conflicts manually:
Each synchronization conflict has to be solved manually by you. Look also on the menu point Conflicts.
- Copy element: :
The element gets copied and both elements are maintained. Please note that the element gets duplicated.
- Use the newest element:
The element that was changed last is getting synchronized. Earlier changes will get overwritten.
Hint: In case you chose the entry “Copy Elements” or “Use Newest Element”, all deletions will be ignored incase a conflict emerges.
3. Client settings / Server settings:
The fields “Server URL” and “Machine Name” are internal settings of the system and should not be changed.
4. Security settings: :
Here you may configure the SimpleSYN security settings and activate the encryption. Detailled information for the configuration you will find under the section Security.
