In this section you may in detail configure the type of the synchronization. To do so please click on the menu point
Synchronization Settings.
| The PC was configured as main computer (server). |

1. Current user:
Select here the user for whom the configuration of the available folders is for. You can fix this configuration for each user. The standard setup is configured for “All Users”.
2. Available folders:
- Clients may set up new folders:
If you activate this option the client PC is allowed to synchronize new folders on the main computer (server).
- Restrict folders for the client (2a):
If you activate this option you can restrict the folders the current user (client) is allowed to have access to. For this please mark the checkbox before the folders to deliver these folders for the client.
3. Administrate Users:
With SimpleSYN you can hand out severeal configurations to different users to restrict, for example, a folder to certain users. To give an example: Your colleague from work will receive the new appointments and tasks only, but not the e-mails that are of no relevance for his work. For this please click on the link “Administrate Users”. In this field you may add any local or domain user and manage them separately.
Via the link “Add Users” you can add further Windows users to set up different configurations for each user. A context menu will give you further options. Here you may deactivate/ add, change or delete users. You can also set up again the entry “All Users” in case it was deleted before.
Further information concerning the user’s administration you will find in the section Security.

| The PC was configured as client |
On the left side you can see the folder view of your client PC, on the right side the one of the main computer (server). Mark the Outlook folders that you wish to synchronize automatically. Changes in this folder are being monitored by SimpleSYN and synchronized automatically in real time.

Click in the checkbox before the desired folder to define the direction of the synchronization. If the arrow points in both directions then the selected folder is getting synchronized from the server and from the client. A new “Click” changes the direction of the synchronization. If the arrow points to the "left" the folder is getting synchronized to the client by the server only. If the arrow points to the "right" the folder is getting synchronized to the server by the client only.
Tip: Also via Drag& Drop you can in a simple way drag a folder from the client or from the server side to another folder to classify the synchronization for both directions.
