Welcome and thank you for choosing SimpleSYN Mobile Outlook® synchronization. SimpleSYN Mobile enables you to synchronize your Outlook® data on all your mobile devices like smartphones and tablet computers in a fast and easy way and allows you therefore to always work with your most up-to-date data such as e-mails, appointments, and contacts.

Security advice

SimpleSYN Mobile is working directly with your Outlook ® data and it is also synchronizing deletions. Therefor make sure that you back up your Outlook ® data before the initial synchronization and in regular intervals afterwards to avoid loss of any data.

Installation

The installation of SimpleSYN Mobile is done in a few easy steps. A wizard will guide you through the installation.

Uninstalling
Applies to version: Version 2.x / 3.x
To remove SimpleSYN Mobile from your computer, quit Outlook® and SimpleSYN Mobile.

Launch SimpleSYN Mobile
Applies to version: Version 2.x / 3.x
To start SimpleSYN Mobile, proceed as follows:

Exit SimpleSYN Mobile
Applies to version: Version 2.x / 3.x
To exit SimpleSYN Mobile, right-click the SimpleSYN icon in the Windows notification area® and select “Exit”.

Setup
Applies to version: Version 2.x / 3.x
Before you can use SimpleSYN Mobile for synchronization, you need to set up the application once and then configure the devices you want to synchronize.

Manual setup
Applies to version: Version 2.x / 3.x
When you start SimpleSYN Mobile for the first time after installation, a setup wizard is started automatically, which guides you through the necessary setup steps. But it is also possible to set up SimpleSYN manually.

Trial version
Applies to version: Version 2.x / 3.x
The trial version of SimpleSYN Mobile can be used for 30 days without restriction. The remaining test duration can be viewed in the SimpleSYN Mobile main window in "Information".

Unlock to the full version
Applies to version: Version 2.x / 3.x
If you want to continue using SimpleSYN Mobile after the trial period, you must purchase a license key.

Activation
Applies to version: Version 2.x / 3.x
Any installation of SimpleSYN Mobile must be activated. SimpleSYN Mobile checks whether the license (trial license or full-fledged license) is still valid.

SimpleSYN Mobile notification area icon
Applies to version: Version 2.x / 3.x
The SimpleSYN Mobile notification area symbol appears in the notification area of the Windows ® taskbar. If the SimpleSYN Mobile main window is closed, SimpleSYN Mobile is not terminated, but minimized to the notification area. The state of the synchronization can be read at any time using various symbols.

Synchronization

After SimpleSYN Mobile has been configured and an connection has been established between SimpleSYN Mobile and the mobile device, synchronization will start automatically.

Configuration
Applies to version: Version 2.x / 3.x
After the initial setup by the setup wizard, a user account is automatically created and all Outlook folders of the default data file are added for synchronization with the end device. In the Configuration area, you can adjust the synchronization if necessary and set up additional users. Each Outlook data file you want to synchronize requires its own user account.

In the options tab, you can customize the SimpleSYN Mobile application on your PC.

Device status
Applies to version: Version 2.x / 3.x
In the tab "Devices" you can see per user account which device you synchronize or have been synchronized in the past. Different information is displayed, such as the first and last synchronization, as well as the folders and number of items that were synchronized. Click the red X to clear the sync status from a device and remove it from the list of devices.

Automatic updates

By default, SimpleSYN Mobile checks once a day whether a newer version of SimpleSYN Mobile is available.

Tools

SimpleSYN Mobile cannot only perfectly synchronize Outlook® but offers additional powerful features. These can be found in the SimpleSYN Mobile menu which is directly integrated into Outlook® in the submenu “Tools” or respectively in the SimpleSYN-ribbon in Outlook®.

SimpleSYN Mobile takes the security of your Outlook data very seriously. The communication of SimpleSYN Mobile is always highly encrypted by default. For this purpose, SimpleSYN Mobile uses the protocol TLS.
